Quote from: Tronpo on May 22, 2026, 01:49:18 PMI'm glad you solved your problem with the links in the photos, professional solution to the script issue!! Regarding the top bar, it seems to be more of a conflict with the operating system of the phone's device. I have oppo LG and I have no problem with any. I hope it can be solved

The strange fact is that I have both the GP and NG versions installed on the same device (Samsung A33 with Android 16) and such issue is present only in the NG version.

Thank you.
Best regards,
Marco

Hello,

I would like to know if I'm the only one to have an issue with the "zoom in" / "zoom out"as described in my post?

By the way, thank you Tronpo for your help!
I tried this function, I'm not sure to use it for the moment.

One suggestion:
Is it possible to add a button in the lateral "buttons bar" to activate or deactivate the "enable zoom with speed"?

Regards.

Muchas gracias Orux, por el nuevo Widget. Ahora con el contador de waypoint y segmentos arriba en el icono respectivo, ya tenemos la confirmación de la creación de los mismos.

Enhorabuena por el trabajo.  :)  ;)

Hi I did several tests and it seems to be going well.
Maybe your profile is corrupted, you can create a factory profile by doing the zoom settings again, default zoom level 300% + zoom with volume keys (and disable the zoom option with volume keys only digital zoom)
Restart the app and test.

Hello,

Your video shows that you have same issue.
You can find below zoom-in and zoom-out cycles for OM-NG& OM-NG.:

OM-NG (not good for me) :
Here is a zoom-in cycle : 300%@09 => 300%@10 => 300%@11 etc...
Here is a zoom-out cycle : 300%11 => 150%@11 => 75@11 => 75@10 => 75@09 => 75@08 etc...

OM-GP (Good for me):
Here is a zoom-in cycle : 300%@09 => 300%@10 => 300%@11 etc...
Here is a zoom-out cycle : 300%11 => 1300@10 => 300@09 => 300@08 etc...

[cita autor=YvanCB enlace=msg=60516 fecha=1780498359] Hola, Tu vídeo muestra que tienes el mismo problema. Puede encontrar a continuación los ciclos de acercamiento y alejamiento para OM-NG y OM-NG: OM-NG (no es bueno para mí): Aquí hay un ciclo de zoom: 300%@09 => 300%@10 => 300%@11, etc... Aquí hay un ciclo de zoom: 300%11 => 150%@11 => 75@11 => 75@10 => 75@09 => 75@08, etc... OM-GP (Bueno para mí): Aquí hay un ciclo de zoom: 300%@09 => 300%@10 => 300%@11, etc... Aquí hay un ciclo de zoom out: 300%11 => 1300@10 => 300@09 => 300@08, etc... Saludos [/cita]

Hello again:)!! As you can see in my previous video the predefined zoom in this case 300% is maintained at each zoom level... but your comment gave me a clue ... the map of my video is online, are you using an offline map? Offline maps have their own predefined zoom settings, press the three dots next to the map name in the list of offline maps and you will see the option to delete and predefined zoom... by default it is at 100% maybe this is the cause of what is happening to you you can do the test and configure in 300% greetings troNpo

Hello,

In your Youtube video, during zoom-out (second 39 in the time line and after) OM-NG doesn't stay at 300%. OM-NG goes to 75%.
Your OM-NG reacts in the same way as mine.

As you suggest to me, I change default zoom for my Offline Maps to 300% => same problem.
With Online Maps OM-NG reacts same way.

Is it normal for you the work with maps @75 during zoom-out operation?

Regards.

Saludos. [/cita]

Aaaa I finally understood you!! Thank you for your patience:) you're right it's a mistake, I didn't realise what you meant by moving the zoom out

Hi, with OruxMaps NG it is impossible to integrate with Strava, (it works fine with GP installed on the same Samsung S21 device)

Hello, I have the integration with Strava in OruxMaps NG and GP on the same device, maybe it's a one-time error. From the Strava website itself in configuration you can also give permission to OruxMaps NG. Anyway, Strava login changes. Now the app opens device Internet browser to do the login.

NOTE: You have to go to the Android app information and allow it to open the strava.oruxmaps.com link, if not that link will be captured by the GP version.

Hi Tronpo, thanks for your reply, but unfortunately I can't successfully implement your suggestions. It's not a big problem for now; I can upload GPXs directly to Strava or use GP. The only aesthetic issue is the lack of the Strava icon in the tracks/roads management tool.

hi trompo,

to be perfectly honest, I don't really understand what the two numbers on the zoom function mean (one is digital, and the other is...?)... I looked for an explanation in the manual, but I couldn't really find one... Since you're an expert on the app, I'd appreciate a quick explanation—just a couple of sentences, if that's okay 🙂

Hello, I am not an "expert" in most cases I have simply only asked before :), the number with @ is the digital zoom and the other is the zoom level (the layer), there are no experts in OruxMaps we are all eternal apprentices in my humble opinion greetings troNpo
