Cannot load mbtiles in v.10.7.4 GP

for a long time i used version v.7.4.26 with my own mbtiles maps. all i had to do was put the mbtiles in the "mapfiles" folder and they were available. now i have bought v.10.7.4 GP. but loading mbtiles doesn't seem to work there. what am i doing wrong?

Look at Global Settings , app storage.
GP storage is distinct uses private memory, Android data.

Thanks, yes that works, but only with the help of ex-data-explorer. the built-in files by google does not show the files in android/data although "show hidden files" is activated in the settings.

But isn't that sad? You buy an app and then the handling of data becomes much more complicated than when you use the free APK download!
I would recommend managing the map data under oruxmaps/mapfiles as in the free version.

It's not Orux's fault, Google changed the rules. The free version you refer to is very old and distributed outside the Play Store so it doesn't have this limitation. You can read more here https://oruxmaps.org/forum/index.php?topic=40163.0
