how to join 2 or more traces

Hello,
I have two tracks that I imported in GPX format. I would like to join them, but when I do, I can't choose the starting point and the destination point. So, it ends up being a bit of a mess. Do you know how to properly join two tracks? Thank you.

It works very well for me, except that the mileage progression of the new merged track is not correct (but maybe I'm doing something wrong...)
