I am having difficulty getting a geoTIF map to show up in OruxMaps. The map was geo-referenced using QGIS and loads fine into apps like Avenza but does not show up in the Offline map list in OruxMaps. I copied the map into "storage/emulated/0/oruxmaps/mapfiles" as I have done with other .tif files (downloaded USGS maps for example) which work fine. I tried "Reset map listing" to no effect. Suggestions as to how to fix this issue would be appreciated. Here is the information on the map (from GDAL):

Maps made with QGIS can be displayed in Oruxmaps if the map is exported as a PDF instead of a TIFF. It may be necessary to change the CRS to EPSG:4326. Click the CRS box at bottom right of screen. Select Geographic (2D) and WGS84 EPSG:4326. Ensure the Create Geospatial PDF box is ticked.

Hiow did you end up? What size was the tiff

I am also having issues with .tif files. I am on app version 10.7.4. They don't appear if I copy the file into the maps directory, and also importing it with the "georeference the image of a map" utility results in my .tif file either rendering completely black, or starting out rendered fine for a couple of seconds before black tiles cascade down and across it. Think like a Cinebench CPU test but in reverse, where the image starts out rendered and the "render" tiles instead steadily fill the whole thing in with black.

This is very frustrating because the only reason I bought the app was that it said it supported importing .tif format maps. The only sources I've been able to find for good offline topographical maps of my country are either in .tif or one of two other formats that Orux does not support.

This is the gdal info for one of the TIFF files I'm trying to get into Orux. I don't really know what EPSG or WGS are, but the values seem to be the supported ones (4326 and 84 respectively). If anyone could tell me whether this is a bug with Orux that is expected to be fixed, or if I will need to convert these .tif files to something else (and how I would go about doing that in an automated way because I have thousands of files equating to dozens of gigabytes) that would be much appreciated.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I have also tried putting the .tif file both in the root oruxmaps/mapfiles directory and the Android/data/com.orux.oruxmapsDonate/files/oruxmaps/mapfiles/ directory

EDIT2: I tried again in the app's directory, it seems something went wrong and the file got corrupted the first time. The .tif maps do now appear in Orux and are selectable, however there are still some loading/rendering issues for which I'm going to make a bug report
