Les images de mon message montre le zoom + et le zoom - (au maximum des 2)

How about to start by communicating in English here? It's very easy to translate any text—or do you expect the users who want to help you to do it for you?

Quote from: Tronpo on July 30, 2026, 05:17:50 AMI think the slope is expressed in percentage because it is more intuitive, faster to interpret and more useful for those who move on the ground (drivers, cyclists, hikers).

The key is that the percentage directly describes how much the road goes up for every 100 metres travelled, while the degrees describe an angle, somewhat less immediate for most people. 10% means: For every 100 horizontal metres, you go up 10 metres.

That's a direct, almost visual relationship.

On the other hand, saying that a slope is 5.7° doesn't tell you anything about the real effort or inclination if you don't do the mental conversion. PS: just an inexhaustible source of curiosity :) knowledge is relative 😜

I was confused when reading your answer, than I saw a typing mistake in my question  ::) ... I had in mind, why in OM slopes are interpreted in degrees ... as you also wrote, it is much more intuitive in %

Quote from: Tronpo on July 29, 2026, 07:55:16 PMYes!! In OruxMaps NG we have a similar function that was developed in the betas. It's called climber sections. Here I give you some details you can translate with the browser https://tronpoonpo.blogspot.com/2024/10/tramos-del-escalador_26.html for doubts I change my interface to your language and answer you here in the forum. TroNpo's sayings

That's amazing!

You're an endless source of information. Thnx!

ps/Do you maybe know why slopes are measured in degrees and not in percentages? I'm much more used to percentages and also on road signs are percentages.

I mainly use OM for cycling. I came across a great feature for climbs in Garmin that shows the remaining distance and average gradient in % for the rest of the climb (if you're following a route).

Is something like that available in OM NG?

I really don't remember if this has been always this way ... anyway, I don't like it, since I do not export route, just follow, so must be deleted manually. thnx anyway.

Quote from: Tronpo on July 23, 2026, 05:11:52 AMHello, can you explain yourself better? In the toolbar of the planner, to the right of the whole you have settings, within settings you have the option to "include wp entered for the calculation of the route" if it is marked the points used are concerver. If it is unmarked no, in this case the year adds the typical beginning and end points with the respective icons, if you mean that. Greetings, spinning top

Brouter planner adds waypoints at the beginning and end of planned route. This is something new I believe and I don't like it. I can't find, how to disable this. Any suggestion?

Hello, I am not an "expert" in most cases I have simply only asked before :), the number with @ is the digital zoom and the other is the zoom level (the layer), there are no experts in OruxMaps we are all eternal apprentices in my humble opinion greetings troNpo

Thanks, and for your modesty as well

Saludos. [/cita]

Aaaa I finally understood you!! Thank you for your patience:) you're right it's a mistake, I didn't realise what you meant by moving the zoom out

hi trompo,

to be perfectly honest, I don't really understand what the two numbers on the zoom function mean (one is digital, and the other is...?)... I looked for an explanation in the manual, but I couldn't really find one... Since you're an expert on the app, I'd appreciate a quick explanation—just a couple of sentences, if that's okay 🙂

Quote from: Tronpo on May 19, 2026, 06:02:34 AM[cita autor=kkolesar enlace=msg=60458 fecha=1779107769] no, el dispositivo estaba en modo vertical y apuntaba a la dirección de conducción. por eso estoy confundido por la falta de coincidencia de ambas líneas. [/cita]

Hello, I just performed a test and everything went well, saving the oscillations of the handlebars, the line where you look marked well. Doubts: how do you carry the device in the car? Standing or leaning on a surface? Look in the settings of sensors the position of the device, it may affect that configuration, another cause may be magnetic interference by some object on the dashboard. Greetings troNpo

yes, I saw this settings for sensor and it is in accordance with phone position (leaning on surface)... I have no idea but anyway thnx for help.

[/cita]
Hello, the direction line where you look (red) points to the direction of the device, that is, the top of the mobile, you take the device in landscape position I imagine, that's why it points perpendicular to TMG. Greetings troNpo

nope, device was in portrait mode and pointed to the direction of driving. that's why I am confused of missmatch of both lines.

Driving in car, phone pointed in the way of driving, TMG line (blue) is ok, but view angle line (red) points away from direction of driving and viewing. Shouldn't be both line aligned in same direction in this case? Gps sensor is calibrated.
