MapTiler is a platform specialized in creating, customizing, and hosting maps. It offers advanced tools for cartographic visualization, allowing users and developers to integrate maps into web applications, mobile apps, and GIS systems.
I have been using their maps in OruxMaps for some time and they have proven very useful, both for the variety of styles and the ease of generating custom maps. To make things easier for anyone who wants to try them, I created a set of **web consoles** that let you preview styles and download the files ready to use in OruxMaps.
Below is a quick usage guide:

## Using the raster style console
**Open the console:**

**Steps:**
1. Enter your **API key**.
2. Select a **raster style**.
3. Click **Download style**.
4. Save the **.xml** file in:
**Android:**
`OruxMaps/mapfiles/customonlinemaps/`
**iOS:**
`OruxMaps/mapfiles/`
5. Activate the map inside OruxMaps.
**Note:** Raster styles work **without a Premium subscription**.

## Using the vector style console
**Open the console:**

**Steps:**
1. Enter your **MapTiler API key**.
2. Select a **vector style**.
3. Click **Download style**.
4. Save the **.json** file in:
`OruxMaps/mapfiles/`
5. Select the style inside OruxMaps.
**Note:** Vector styles require **OruxMaps Premium** to access the 3D viewer and advanced features.

## How to obtain your MapTiler API key
1. Go to: https://www.maptiler.com/cloud/
2. Sign up or log in.
3. Open your **user dashboard**.
4. Copy your **API key** from the *Credentials* section.
The console will automatically insert your key before downloading the style.
